Martin will continue his long and happy connection with Portugal throughout 2023: 3 major concerts in Porto and Funchal, including Martin's first visit to the wonderful Banda Sinfónica Portuguesa. Martin first conducted in Portugal in 1991 (an opera by Prokofiev) and more than 30 years later he is still going strong there!
Martin is proud to announce that the 3rd Festival will open with Schönberg Verklärte Nacht on 13th July, and close on the 22nd with Mozart Piano Concerto in A. The overall "Theme" for this year's Festival is the beautiful painting by Vincent van Gogh:
"The starry night over the Rhone".
There will be 15 concerts in various locations around the London Borough of Islington. Some of the concerts which Martin will play are listed on the "diary" page.
