  • Islington Festival of Music and Art 2023

As Co-Director of the IFMA, Martin and Co-Director Joana Ly have already made major strides in putting together the 2023 Festival for July 2023. This will feature many of the international artists who have already appeared in the Festival, together with some new faces. In December Joana and Martin will give another Fundrasing Gala which was such a hit last year, featuring a Violin and Piano Recital plus a Live Auction and Raffle, all in aid of next year's event!

  • 2 visits to Portugal

Martin will return to 2 of his favourite orchestras this autumn. First he will visit Funchal, Madeira, to renew his close association with the Orquestra Clássica da Madeira, directing works by Mendelssohn, Poulenc and Schubert. Martin will also link up with Dmitrii Kalashnikov, together with whom he performed the Piano Concerto by Hummel in London a few years ago.
A month later, Martin celebrates his return to Porto by directing the mighty Great Mass by Mozart, when the forces of the Orchestra and Chorus of Casa da Música will combine for what promises to be a powerful experience. Martin will also continue his happy and long collaboration with 2 international singers - soprano Eduarda Melo and bass Peter Rose.
